behind the brand
The founder of LJB, Yana Rostomyan, found her "passion for fashion" at 19. She started her first Clothing boutique on Melrose Ave. in 1998. After going on hiatus, Yana chose to take the leap and start her new brand. Soon after, Lil Jewels Boutique was born in Los Angeles in 2008.
Lil Jewels Boutique was named after her daughters Lili and Julie. Yana's purpose was to one day pass the business down to her daughters and have them continue what she had started. With the success of Lil Jewels, she was able to showcase her products at the LAFW, NYFW, and Australia Fashion week.
After 13 years of Lil Jewels, she decided it was time to close shop and have Lili 19 and Julie, 16, take over an online clothing brand together. Not only will this be a good bonding time for the two sisters it will also get them a head start in the business world and teach them responsibility.
